Senior Center News

Well, the Old Bag Sale was a great success. Thank you to everyone who donated their gently-used bags, scarves and jewelry — you were the reason the Manistee Senior Center did so well. I also want to thank all of the volunteers who are always so gracious in giving of themselves and working hard. With your help, we were able to raise more than $900 for senior services! I’m working on another fun fundraiser for later in the year, and I hope you all will find it as fun as the Old Bag Sale.

On Wednesday, we had our infamous Fun Bingo.  I was out of town, so we had celebrity guest bingo caller, Pat Cybert, taking my place. Thank you to Pat for doing a great job and helping everyone have a great time.

We had our Produce Bingo on Wednesday because of the holiday, and we didn’t want to miss out on having our favorite bingo caller, Jerre. Thank you, Jerre; we are so lucky to have you at the senior center. I will keep everyone informed about upcoming fun at the senior center. I hope everyone had a great week in Manistee, enjoyed the Forest Festival and had a safe holiday. Remember to try something new.
