Law enforcement supports Great Start Readiness Program

MANISTEE — Law enforcement leaders across Michigan are promoting Michigan’s Great Start Readiness Program, which provides high-quality preschool to 4-year-olds. We know that high-quality preschool helps kids get on track to be successful in school and beyond.

Today, parents can access this high quality program for their 4-year-old children at no cost, or for a sliding scale fee based on their income. We encourage parents to call and enroll their child today for the classes that begin in September.

The Great Start Readiness Program Preschool options include:

• part-day preschool;

• school-day preschool; and

• and blend of a Great Start/Head Start preschool experience.

Parents who wish to apply and enroll their 4-year-old in the Great Start Readiness Program may call the Manistee Intermediate School District directly at (231) 510-4529, or they may use the Great Start to Quality Resource Center’s toll-free statewide line, (877) 614-7328, and ask to be connected to their local ISD preschool administrator.

GRSP preschool classrooms are required to be licensed/approved by the Michigan Department of Human Services.
