Trick-or-treating at White Pine Village set for Oct. 19

LUDINGTON — Historic White Pine Village will host trick-or-treaters on Oct. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.

This kid-friendly event is geared toward family fun and not to be mistaken as a gory, ghoulish haunted village. All children must be accompanied by an adult for admission, which is free for children 12 and under and a nominal charge for those who are older.

Ticket sales will take place at the Admission building from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

There will be a costume contest for kids 12 and under, with judging to take place in the town hall at 7:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the funniest and the scariest costumes.

Those participating should bring a trick-or-treating bag and flashlight. Many of the village’s buildings will be open with volunteers ready to dole out treats.

White Pine Village is located south of Ludington at 1687 S. Lakeshore Drive.
