Onekama Chili Cookoff raises $500 for Boy Scouts

ONEKAMA — There were 11 entries in the Christmas in Onekama Chili Cookoff, but only only one could be named the best in each of the divisions.

There was a business division, and an individual division in the cookoff that raised more than $500 for the Onekama Boy Scouts.

In the business division, the Little River Casino Resort won both best taste and best display. In the individual division, Cindie Sternberger took home both honors.

The remaining best taste results for the business division are: second place, Northern Lights Signs and Electric; third place, Grille 44; fourth place, Shirley’s; and fifth place, Shay’s Chop House. The remaining best display results in the business division are: second place, Northern Lights Signs and Electric; third place, Shay’s Chop House; fourth place, Grille 44; and fifth place, Shirley’s.

The remaining best taste results for the individual division are: second place, Kim Lagerquist; third place, Diane Bess; fourth place, Jon and Char Straight; fifth place, Gary Hayes; and sixth place Bob Churchill. The remaining best display results in the individual division are: second place, Jon and Char Straight; third place, Kim Lagerquist; fourth place, Diane Bess; fifth place, Gary Hayes; and sixth place, Bob Churchill.
