ONEKAMA — Trinity Lutheran Church of Onekama recently donated more than $1,000 to food banks in Onekama and Manistee.

These funds were raised during the summer months with the Trinity Lutheran Doughnut Wagon, and all net proceeds went to benefit local charities.

The church also recently began a free movie night for the community. Movies are shown at the church, and during summer they will be viewed outside. The movie and popcorn are free, but there will always be a collection area for nonperishable food items for the local food pantry.
