NorthSky hosts ‘Fundraising A to Z: An Introduction to Fund Development’

MANISTEE — Nonprofit leaders from throughout Northern Michigan are invited to a professional development session, “Fundraising A to Z: An Introduction to Fund Development” next week.

The event is set for 1-4 p.m. on Tuesday the Manistee Intermediate School District.

Instructor, Jennifer Booher, NorthSky consultant, will review the fund development process, how to apply a systematic approach to fundraising and how to develop a fund development plan, identify prospects and acquire donors.

This session includes an introduction to fundraising events, annual giving, major gifts and planned giving. Participants will leave this session with an understanding of the fund development process, a template for developing a fund development plan, knowledge of the various fund development approaches and resources for learning more about fund development. This session is designed for the beginning fundraiser.
