Benzie County to be promoted in NYC, Toronto

BENZIE COUNTY — The Benzie County Visitors Bureau recently announced that Benzie County will be promoted on the “Good Morning America” electronic billboard in Times Square, in New York City.

The advertisement will be shown through March 26. The five second video spot will be displayed 120 times during that week, giving Benzie County exposure not only to New Yorkers, but that city’s millions of visitors from all over the world.

This video also will air the entire month of April on the PATH in Toronto, Canada.

“The image used is a beautiful photo of the Point Betsie Lighthouse, one of the most iconic images of our community,” said Mary Carroll, president of the visitors bureau. “When unique opportunities such as this come along, we want to make the most of them, and what better way then to share the beauty and history of Benzie County then showcasing the Point Betsie Lighthouse.”

The Benzie County Visitor Bureau works diligently to promote Benzie County as a tourism destination utilizing all forms of media and marketing opportunities. Under the direction of their board of directors, comprised of local lodging property owners, the bureau works to fulfill their mission is to increase the numbers of overnight visitors to the area by implementing a comprehensive marketing program, while carefully preserving the natural beauty and environmental resources of the area for present and future generations.
