The Voice’s Joshua Davis leads Thompsonville concert series

THOMPSONVILLE — The Michigan Legacy Art Park’s Summer Sounds concert series kicks off July 10 with a performance from the Joshua Davis Trio, featuring Joshua Davis, a contestant on NBC’s “The Voice”.

Expanding from five to six concerts this year, the concert series, held at the park’s amphitheater, is an entertaining and relaxing way to spend a summer evening, according to the Michigan Legacy Art Park’s website.

Other concerts throughout the summer at the park include:

  • July 17 – May Erlewine with Seth Bernard perform in a wide range of styles, including folk and country to soul and rock, combined with storytelling and melodies.
  • July 24 – K. Jones and the Benzie Playboys perform their brand of “old school” zydeco and cajun music, complete with accordions, fiddles and other instruments.
  • Aug. 14 — Traverse City-based band, The Accidentals, comprise multiple singer-songwriters and instrumentalists whose music is winning praise nationwide.

All concerts start at 7 p.m. and there is a suggested donation for each concert, except the Joshua Davis concert, which will have a price for admission.
