MANISTEE — The Prom Boutique will be open this week for homecoming, offering more than 200 short semi-formal dresses.

High school girls from Manistee and Benzie counties can pick out a dress for free. The shop also has a stock of shoes, purses, shawls and jewelry to choose from, also free of charge.

The Prom Boutique will be open from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

More than 130 girls were provided the dresses for homecoming and winter dances during the 2014-15 school year.

Anyone can support the Prom Boutique by donating gently-used prom and semi-formal attire, which can be dropped off at any high school office. Financial donations can also be made through the United Way of Manistee.
