Fire up Chips!

Manistee’s homecoming festivities continue

Wednesday was a warm autumn evening in Manistee, and at Manistee High School it got even warmer.

The Chippewas continued their homecoming celebration this week with their annual bonfire behind the school.

Preceding the flames was the annual powderpuff football tournament between the grade levels. The seniors eventually took the crown, defeating the junior class in overtime of the championship game.

Manistee’s varsity football team will host Shelby at 7 p.m. on Friday for the homecoming game.
