Jim Polisky, with the help of other Department of Public Works employees, has been busy over the past several weeks putting up Christmas decorations around the city of Manistee. Snowflakes have been placed on poles, while street lights have been adorned with ribbon and evergreens. The Maple Street and U.S. 31 bridges are draped with red bows and evergreen swag. On Monday, Polisky placed the lights on the large tree outside of city hall. Last year, he was honored as the Victorian Sleighbell Parade grand marshal for his years of work for the DPW, including decorating the city streets for the holidays.
