First Congregational to host Book Club, Game Night

MANISTEE — The First Congregational Church of Manistee has a number of activities over the next couple of weeks.

The public is welcome to participate in the Book Club, which is held at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays. They will continue to read Viktor E. Frankl’s “Man’s Search for Meaning.” It is the story of one man’s experience at Auschwitz, which was originally intended to serve as a concentration camp and a place of slow death for Polish political prisoners, but ended up being the site where the Nazi’s murdered over a million Jews. Frankl survived and this book is about his search for happiness and forgiveness.

From 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 30, there will be a Family Game Night at the church. There will be games for all ages and interests, and it promises to be a fun filled evening. The First Congregational Church of Manistee, located at 412 Fourth St., is a Church Family where all are welcome.
