MANISTEE — As part of National Catholic School Week, Manistee Catholic Central School will be celebrating its 25th Annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Seven new members will be inducted on Saturday, joining the over 260 past inductees into the MCC Hall of Fame.

The 2016 Hall of Fame inductees are Kay Markham, Sandy Pelarski, Dave Russell, Julie Perry, Karen Goodman, Theresa Cabot and the St. Joseph Men’s Club.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with refreshments and dinner follows at 6:30 p.m. in the Manistee Catholic Central Cafe. The presentation of awards will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s chapel.

Keynote speaker, Angela Kubacki-Cochrane, is traveling from her home in London, England, to address the inductees and guests. She is a 1994 graduate of Manistee Catholic Central.

“I am so proud to have graduated from such a great school, and I am so impressed by the developments that MCC has made over the last 20 years (since I graduated),” she said.

Kubacki-Cochrane attended Smith College in Northampton, Mass., graduating with a BA in Psychology in 1998. She completed her Master’s in Health Psychology at the University of Southampton, England, in 1999. She is a health psychologist and a lecturer in Clinical Communication at St George’s, University of London Medical School.

She married Dr. Andrew Cochrane in December 1999. She and Andy are active members of their parish, and their children attend St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Guildford, Surrey.

“My educational experience at MCC provided me with the strong foundation on which I have built my faith, my career and my life,” said Kubacki-Cochrane. “I learned so many lessons (often not just in the classroom), and my 12 years at MCC shaped me into the person I’ve become.”

She is the daughter of Paul and Marianne (Toczynski) Kubacki.
