MANISTEE — An accident Tuesday on Parkdale Avenue caused a vehicle to hit a house, however no injuries to those involved were reported.

“(One car) didn’t see the other car, hit it and that car went into the house,” said trooper Mike Lorenz of the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post.

The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m., and alcohol was not a factor, Lorenz said.

He said the accident happened when a vehicle pulled out of the parking lot of the Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center and hit another.

Along with state police, the Manistee Township Fire Department, City of Manistee Police Department, West Shore Medical Center EMS and the Manistee County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

The vehicle was towed away from the scene by Appicelli’s Sales and Service to the establishment.
