Filer Township water

Holding its last regular session before the reorganization made necessary by the April election, the city commission last night heard a proposal on the part of Filer Township that Manistee take over maintenance and collections of the new Filer water system to be installed shortly as a WPA project. The suggestion occasioned surprise on the part of the commissioners, since they believed, some of them stated, that when they gave Filer Township permission to hook up to the city water system, nothing more than that was requested of them. A committee was appointed to meet with the Filer Township Board.
