Onekama High School reunion

The Onekama High School class of 1926 celebrated their 50th anniversary last Saturday evening at the Drydock in Manistee. Those attending were: Anice Guimond, Juanita Newberry, Barbara Joseph, Inez Obenauer, and Lillian Wisner.

60 YEARS AGO

Club Bolmor

During the past two months new owners Jane and Mack Holcomb have completely redecorated the Club Bolmor and done everything possible to make the public’s bowling evenings more enjoyable. They have installed semi-automatic pinsetters and completely refinished their alleys. Here for tonight’s Grand Opening at 6:30 p.m. is George Young, nationally known TV bowler and member of the former World’s Champion Pfeiffers Bowling Team.

Tuesday will be Circus Day

Tuesday is Circus Day in Manistee where the Walter L. Main Circus will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary and will play an engagement of one day with performances at 2 in the afternoon and 8 at night. The doors will open one hour earlier and a free exhibition will be staged on the circus grounds at 12:30 noon and 6:30 at night. An air conditioned tent will be used and ample free parking space will be provided.
