Hoxeyville Music Festival comes to Wellston on Aug. 19-21

WELLSTON — The nationally-known Hoxeyville Music Festival, featuring over 30 bands, comes Aug. 19-21 to Wellston.

The Hoxeyville Music Festival has two stages featuring nationally-touring artists, as well as Michigan-based talent, according to a news release.

Bands performing on Aug. 19 include Billy Strings, Railroad Earth, the Benzie Playboys, Waydown Wanderers and the Accidentals.

Performing on Aug. 20 are Greensky Bluegrass (performing two sets), the Joshua Davis Quartet, The Go Rounds and Mandolin Orange, among others.

The festival concludes on Aug. 21 with performances by Luke Winslow-King, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys and Roosevelt Diggs, among others.

The festival site is strategically located near various mountain biking trails and the Pine River — a national wild and scenic river — world class blue-ribbon trout stream and a renowned paddle sports playground.

The festival is located one-fourth mile west of the intersection of M-37 and West 48 1/2 (Hoxeyville) Rd.

Entrance to the festival will be at 10 a.m. on Aug. 19.
