Benzie Area Masonic lodge makes donations

BENZIE COUNTY — The Benzie Area Masonic Lodge No. 444 donated to a variety of organizations in Benzie County during 2016.

The lodge donated:

  • $200 to Benzie Area Christian Neighbors;
  • $250 to the Salvation Army;
  • $400 to the Benzie County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit;
  • $100 to the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation Golf Outing;
  • $200 to the local Relay for Life effort; and
  • $3,000 in scholarships to area students.

The Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation helps match the donations of other lodges. The donations are part of the Mason’s dedication to helping others in need.
