Juvenile arrested for burglary

A Manistee juvenile, who said he was offered $100 for breaking into the Sound Studio on River Street, was arrested Friday night by Manistee City Police. Police said the juvenile told them someone was going to give him $100 if he broke in and got some equipment from the store. Police said the 15-year old youth would not say who offered him the $100. The youth had succeeded in entering the store and removing several items of stereo equipment before he was caught by police.

Has leading role

Bill Henry, in the title role of “Life with Father” which will be presented at the Ramsdell Opera House on April 26 and 27, has one of the longest and most demanding parts in modern stage history. HIs part in the latest Manistee Drama Association production call for him to be on stage for all but approximately 20 minutes.

First track match set

With their first dual track meet of the season scheduled for next Tuesday at Cadillac, the Manistee High School track squad under Coach Fred Stillwell has been hampered the past weeks by the very discouraging, winter-like weather the past days. Coach Stilwell, in his first year as head mentor of the Chippewa team, has 33 candidates for the team, with the bulk of them Juniors and Seniors.
