First Congregational to explore “emerging from darkness”

MANISTEE — As Easter Season starts, Manistee First Congregational Church is exploring what it means to “Emerge” from the darkness of Lent into the hope and new life of Easter.

All are encouraged to attend Sunday’s 10 a.m. worship. All ages worship together with special bulletins for the youngest guests, a quiet play area where families are welcome to sit together.

Last month the First Congregational hosted a Women at Risk party where special hand made jewelry and gifts made by women around the world were available, and the church was able to raise over $400 in product sales, which is enough to help keep a woman in a safe house for over a month. The church plans to host more of these events in the future.
