SHERIFF’S BLOTTER: Horses reported running at large

MANISTEE COUNTY — The Manistee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls from Friday to Wednesday.

All calls may not be reported.

Friday

  • Breaking and entering was reported at 8:16 a.m. in Maple Grove Township.
  • At 12:36 p.m. in Filer Township, a two-vehicle personal injury accident was reported.
  • At 2:15 p.m. in Filer Township, indecent exposure by a minor was reported.
  • A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported at 3:12 p.m. in Manistee Township.
  • A runaway juvenile was reported at 6:50 p.m. in Dickson Township.
  • At 7:21 p.m. in Manistee Township, two vehicles were involved in a personal injury accident.
  • Harassment was reported at 9:24 p.m. in Marilla Township.

Saturday

  • At 9:10 a.m., larceny of guns, chainsaw and a crossbow was reported.
  • Harassment of fishermen was reported at 10 a.m. in Arcadia Township.
  • Child abuse was reported at 4:20 p.m. in Manistee Township.

Sunday

  • Parole violation was reported in Manistee Township.
  • Domestic violence was reported in Manistee Township.
  • At 10:47 a.m. in Stronach Township, a well being check and possible domestic violence were reported.
  • At 11:20 a.m. in Stronach Township, a dog was reported running at large.
  • A driver was reportedly operating under the influence of drugs and a property damage accident was reported at 2:22 p.m. in Manistee Township.

Monday

  • A car/deer accident was reported at 3:20 a.m. in Brown Township.
  • Deputies assisted a motorist at 1:05 a.m. in Norman Township.
  • A dog was reported running at large in Norman Township.
  • At 6:44 a.m. in Cleon Township, Animal Control responded to a report of horses running at large.
  • A suspicious situation was reported at 11:41 a.m. in Onemaka Township.
  • Breaking and entering, malicious destruction of property and unlawful driving away of an automobile were reported.
  • Parole violation was reported at 11 p.m. in Filer Township.

Tuesday

  • Domestic assault was reported at 9:30 a.m. in Copemish.
  • Fraud was reported at 10:30 a.m. on the 1000 block of Manistee Highway in Manistee.
  • At 3:40 p.m. in Norman Township, a suspicious situation was reported.
  • An injured dog was reported found at 6 p.m.
  • Larceny by conversion was reported in Bear Lake Township.

Wednesday

  • A bad check was reported at 12:45 p.m. on the 11000 block of Chippewa Highway in Bear Lake.
  • Animal control reported an owner for failure to buy a license and no valid rabies vaccination at 10:14 a.m.
  • A suspicious situation was reported in Norman Township.
  • A dog bite was reported at 5:38 p.m. in Kaleva.
