Opening reception slated for members exhibit

FRANKFORT — Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts is presenting its first Summer Members Exhibit.

“We are always looking for ways to thank and honor our members. It is through their support that we have been around for almost 70 years,” said Mercedes Michalowski, OAC executive director. “We thought what better way than to celebrate them than with an exhibition during the summer where we can truly appreciate our talented group of supporters.”

Oliver Art Center regularly scheduled a Member Exhibition during the winter season, however with their 70th anniversary next year, they thought it would be a great opportunity to schedule a second member exhibition to help celebrate the center’s past.

The opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. on May 19. The opening reception is free and open to the public.

The exhibit runs from May 19 through June16, with an opening reception.

The Oliver Art Center exhibit and Mary’s Gift Gallery will be open to the public from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Visit www.oliverartcenterfrankfort.org or contact (231) 352-4151 for more information.
