Art Park to feature Blake Elliott and the Robinson Affair

THOMPSONVILLE — Blake Elliott and the Robinson Affair will bring their unique style and retro, bluesy rock to the Michigan Legacy Art Park amphitheater stage at 7 p.m. on July 14.

One of the hardest working women in the Northern Michigan music scene, Blake Elliott writes songs inspired by her home state of Michigan, telling stories conceived in love and heartbreak, dive bars and good whiskey.

For her Art Park performance, she will be joined by her band the Robinson Affair, adding a wide scope of funk, blues, jazz, soul and rock sounds to Elliott’s vibrant persona and rich vocals.

The Blake Elliott and the Robinson Affair concert continues the Summer Sounds series at the Art Park, which also features performances from Vox Vidorra, Mount Valor, Nessa, the Sweet Water Warblers, Nashon Holloway Band and the Bergamot.

The forest setting of the Art Park amphitheater provides a delightful atmosphere for live performances. Seating is available for up to 250 concert attendees, and is ADA accessible.

Rides from the parking lot to the amphitheater are available for those with limited mobility beginning at 6:15 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring picnics, lawn chairs or blankets.

Art Park folding chairs will be available to rent or purchase. If raining, the concert will be held indoors at Crystal Mountain.
