The MHS Class of 1964 had some money remaining from its 50th class reunion in 2014. They wanted to do something special for the high school. With the guidance of the high school principal Andy Huber, it was decided that two benches placed in front of the high school under the flag. The class didn’t have enough money for two benches so a letter was sent to all classmates asking for a donation to complete the purchase. The response was overwhelming. Additionally, each bench was engraved with the words, “In Memory of the Class of 1964 Deceased Members. Gone But Never Forgotten”. After a recent class reunion gathering, class members went to the high school to approve of the benches. Class members shown in the front row (left to right) are Mary Ann Andersen Nickleson, Sherry Bowerman Kelley and Larry Tabaczka. In the second row (left to right) are Alice Froncek Bottrell, Kathy Wisniski Cabot, Mary Beth Bultema Kennedy, Margo Numelin Plamondon, Robert Duschinske and Al Garber. In the third row (left to right) are Dennis Dust, Robert Ringel, Dave Boertman, Ray Jankowski, Dolan Sievert, Art Nickleson, Mike Maurer, Jim Ogilvie and Bob Thomas.
