Little River Casino Resort gives back to community

MANISTEE — In 1999 the Little River Casino Resort (LRCR) Charity Golf Outing was established as a way to give back to the community.

The Little River Casino & Resort Charity Golf Outing raised $62,700 for are area non-profit organizations. This year’s outing benefited Northern Pathways Equine Center, Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital, Stomp Out Cancer, Manistee County Habitat for Humanity, Mathew 25:35 Food Pantry, Benzie-Manistee County Snowbirds, Special Olympics Area 24, Spirit of the Woods Garden Club and Blessings in a Backpack. To date, just under $800,000 has been raised for various organizations that serve the Manistee area. The 18th Annual Little River Charity Golf Outing was held at the Manistee National Golf and Resort on July 7.

This year’s outing benefited the following non-profit organizations: Northern Pathways Equine Center, Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital, Stomp Out Cancer, Manistee County Habitat for Humanity, Mathew 25:35 Food Pantry, Benzie-Manistee County Snowbirds, Special Olympics Area 24, Spirit of the Woods Garden Club and Blessings in a Backpack.

Proceeds earned during the 2017 event totaled $62,750 contributed by local private contributions and business vendors of the Little River Casino Resort bringing the current total of the lifetime of this annual event to $791,881 contributed back to the local community.
