Dennos Museum Center announces 2017-18 performance season

TRAVERSE CITY – The Dennos Museum Center is pleased to announce the 2017-18 Dennos performance season in Milliken Auditorium.

The Dennos concert series presents a diverse lineup of exciting performances in one of the best concert venues in the region. The state-of-the-art sound, professional staff and comfortable seating present an exceptional experience from any seat in the house.

The adjoining museum serves as a beautiful and spacious reception area where you can meet the performing artists, or view the current exhibitions in our newly expanded galleries. Join the center for this season with outstanding guest performers from around the world.

This season presents a variety of first time performers on the Milliken stage with the likes of jazz/ blues/funk guitarist Paul Brown, the eclectic and sensitive Jonatha Brooke, and bluegrass fiddler Michael Cleveland, and they welcome the return of the ever popular Beausoleil, and the Golden Dragon Acrobats.

The Dennos concert season is supported by The Osterlin Performance Endowment, The Hughes Family Trust, Arts Midwest, and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts. Housing for performers is provided by the Cambria Suites.

In addition to offering public performances some of the performers will have educational offerings with special concert/workshops for schools. Educators wanting information on these performances should contact Jason Dake, Curator of Education at (231) 995-1029.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.dennosmuseum.org, www.MyNorthTickets.com, and (800) 836-0717. Tickets are also available at the Milliken box office, (231) 995-1553 beginning Sept. 21, 2016. Box office hours are 3-5 p.m. from Wednesday through Saturday.
