KATHY KNECHTGES: Intolerance toward Trump and supporters must stop

TO THE EDITOR:

Don’t let the smear campaign rob you of President Donald Trump’s inspiring accomplishments. It is always admirable for people in the community to speak out against any kind of hatred and intolerance. The time has come to also speak out against intolerance toward Trump and his supporters.

The stock market keeps soaring to all-time highs, unemployment is the lowest in many years. GDP is soaring. Trump has created thousands of new high-paying jobs, and won numerous new plants. Trump has earned the love of the forgotten workers who crowd in by the thousands to cheer the “Blue Collar Billionaire.” He works 24/7 to make things happen for them, not just talk beautifully.

I studied Trump for months and there is no proof of the “racist” smear, and other predicted terrors. Instead, he has delivered new hope for workers. Trump is upsetting the old order that was based on racial division, and domination by money in Washington. Society naturally forms into structures, and some people still benefit from outdated structures.

An army of thousands of journalists daily demean and destroy one person — Trump! This is very ugly bullying. There is an obsession with Hitler. Trump only wants minorities to benefit from thousands of new jobs and higher wages, and innovative new programs to change the inner city.

A more accurate historical tie with today is the rise of “romantic” Communism in the U.S. around WW II. Then large numbers of the most educated and elite Americans were entranced with the young Soviet Union. They were certain they could produce utopia if we let them take over. But Americans were horrified when they found that there were several Soviet spies at the highest level in the White House directing world policies that destroyed thousands. There were some excesses in the following McCarthy era. But after the fall of the Soviet Union, historians gained access to Soviet files and proved there were Russian spies in the White House at the time. Most American Communists were mortified at how fooled they had been when secret Communist mass murder was finally revealed. A lot of this was permanently covered up because disillusioned liberals were embarrassed.

Stalin and Mao both felt that they would have to use violence to prepare the ground for the new utopia, but in the end, everyone in society would be far better off. They created an unimaginable bloodbath. Human nature is not perfect, and today’s utopia along “progressive” lines will not work. Most current American progressives are good, idealistic people, but a few are starting to stray into dangerously naïve territory. An earthly progressive utopia could only be imposed by violence, which we already starting to see.

I have never seen so much political violence as that directed against Trump supporters.

Don’t miss out on Trump’s brilliant American Renaissance. We didn’t vote for him for his elegant personality, but for creative economic results. He has poured them on.
