Senior class play postponed

The Bear Lake senior play, which was to have been presented tonight, has been indefinitely postponed because of the flu. Roberta Hullinger, Marjorie Cermak, and Jay Johnson are all ill. People who have purchased tickets are asked to hold onto them as the play will be given as soon as can be arranged.

80 YEARS AGO

To sell land

The state conservation department will offer Manistee County land for sale at an auction to be held Oct. 18 in Big Rapids it was announced today. The land that will be offered consists of a tract of 80 acre, two lots in Filer Township and two additional lots.

Supervisors open session

The important October session of the County Board of Supervisors was opened this afternoon at 2 o’clock at the courthouse. Before adjourning in about 10 days the supervisors will take up important budget and financial matters as well as a number of other minor questions.
