Betsie Valley library to host presentation on Butch Cassidy

THOMPSONVILLE — Hear the True Story of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, as presented by Allison Bryant, this month at the Betsie Valley District Library.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Oct. 19 at the library, located at 14744 Thompson Ave. in Thompsonville.

Butch Cassidy, The Sundance Kid and Etta Place were introduced to a new generation via the 1969 film. The story of these “desperados” reflects the relationships of real individuals facing the new century and the end of the Old West.

Enjoy a personal view of the famous duo (and Etta, the most mysterious woman in the western U.S.) and investigate the enigma of their deaths and their place in history.
