Centra Wellness announces Community Service and Relations Committee awards

MANISTEE — Throughout the year, the Centra Wellness Network (CWN) Board of Directors have an opportunity to recognize persons and/or organizations that work in partnership with CWN on projects and initiatives, that ultimately improve the lives of individuals with mental illness and intellectual/developmental disabilities.

The work and support provided by these individuals and/or organizations over the years has resulted in improved access and care for many people.

Recognizing the challenges faced by so many people in our community, these persons have used their organizations to address those challenges and to work with CWN to assure swift treatment, supportive aftercare and less barriers to seeking and securing treatment.

Over the past several years, Chip Johnston, CEO of CWN, has spearheaded efforts for community partnerships and collaborative efforts. Working with others within each community can only have positive outcomes.

More resources — people and organizations working together — provides more ability to “lift the heavy workloads. Over the years, CWN found many people and organizations willing to share in this process.

This award represents the hard work that occurs, and the joint efforts made working together, and CWN is proud to recognize their partners and associates in this mission.

The following people listed are CWN Community Service and Relations Committee award winners:

  • Leanne Witucki of Manistee ARC;
  • Sharron Lemmer of Manistee HSCB;
  • Mike Savage and Jennifer O’Brien of MDHHS (Benzie County);
  • Cameron Clarke of the Family Division at the Manistee County 19th Judicial Circuit Court;
  • Clinton McKinven-Copus, executive director of the Manistee Housing Commission; and
  • Jon Hauswirth of prosecuting attorney.

CWN thanks all of their partners for their hard work in the community.
