Craft shows offer handmade gifts

MANISTEE — Craft bazaars are the perfect place to get a start on holiday shopping, and the Manistee area is in no short supply of them in November and December.

On Saturday, the Manistee Senior Center hosted 22 vendors during its holiday craft show.

Vendors offered all kinds of homemade items from knitted hats and scarves, to photo items, quilts and baked goods. The senior center also was offering lunch to those in attendance.

A few blocks away, the First Congregational Church of Manistee hosted its annual Heritage Bazaar, also offering lunch. A variety of baked goods were up for sale, as well as fresh Christmas wreaths, a raffle and many handmade items.
