New business in Briny Building

The Salt City Cafe is a homey friendly coffee house where you can sit on a comfortable couch, play cards or do homework, chat with friends or make new friends. Of course, you can also sip on hot, fresh-brewed coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, Tazo tea or any of the other delicious beverages available at the new business located in the historical Briny Building. Manistee native, Shawn Barch, is the owner of the new coffee house.

Now playing at the Vogue Theatre is “Record City”, a new comedy about the wacky employees and their exploits at a record store. The film starts Ted Lange, Rick Dees, and Ruth Buzzi. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Lehto is Treasurer

Due to ill health and after more than 25 years of service to Cleon Township, Mrs. Madge Wells has resigned as Treasurer, Mrs. Eino Lehto, who was a trustee on the board, has been appointed to serve out this time and Mrs. Roy Evens will take Mrs. Lehto’s position on the township board.
