Annual Sleighbell Craft Show, Bake Sale to open this weekend

MANISTEE — Manistee’s largest holiday craft show kicks off this weekend.

Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital Auxiliary’s annual Sleighbell Craft Show, Bake Sale and Raffle will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday at Manistee High School. Admission is free.

Over 150 artists, crafters and vendors from around the region will be offering wide variety of goods for sale, including wood crafts, jewelry, fine arts, candy, holiday décor, dolls and accessories, and knit pieces. A variety of homemade goodies will be available at the bake sale booth.

Three raffle drawings will be held for cash prizes in the amount of $300, $200 and $100 (winners need not be present). Raffle tickets may be purchased at the craft show.

Proceeds from the event benefit the auxiliary’s pledge to purchase lifesaving devices for Manistee hospital’s ambulance fleet.

Lunch will be available for purchase from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and the Manistee Lions Club will be offering free vision tests for children ages 5-years and under from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

With a team of about 100 members, the Manistee Hospital Auxiliary has been serving the hospital for over 60 years. Auxiliary members volunteer throughout the hospital, operate the Bits of Cheer Gift Shop and are active in fundraising efforts. The Sleighbell Craft Show is their largest fundraiser of the year.
