Mack said those who want to get the opportunity to see the bands in action next week can do so at their annual holiday concerts.

“We do have concerts coming up next week,” said Mack. “At 7 p.m. on Dec. 11, our eighth grade, high school and jazz bands will be performing in the Manistee High School auditorium. It isn’t going to be all Christmas music, but there will be some holiday numbers.”

It is the first two good opportunities to see various levels of the Manistee Band in concert this holiday season.

“On Dec. 14 beginning at 7 p.m. the fifth, sixth, and seventh grade bands will be doing their holiday concerts at the auditorium,” said Mack.

The Manistee High School Marching Band also performed in the Victorian Sleighbell Parade on Saturday evening, playing traditional Christmas favorites. The band was well received with applause along the parade route.
