Men Who Care donate to Choices of Manistee

MANISTEE — During the first 2018 quarterly meeting of Men Who Care Manistee County on Jan. 17, Choices of Manistee was selected as the recipient of the donation of $3,200.

Choices of Manistee is the only domestic violence and abuse shelter in Manistee.

In addition to offering emergency shelter, Choices offers legal and financial services, support services, children services and counseling.

Men Who Care of Manistee has 32 members who meet quarterly to support public nonprofit associations in Manistee County. At each quarterly meeting the members nominate and vote on a deserving nonprofit in Manistee County. The winner of the vote receives $100 from each member.

Since its inception in 2015, Men Who Care have donated $36,600 to Manistee County nonprofits.
