Ramsdell to feature MET Opera L’elisir d’Amore

MANISTEE — The Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts has a special show in store for Saturday, bringing one of a kind MET Opera to Manistee.

The MET Opera “L’elisir d’Amore” will show at noon, showcasing the country’s most prestigious opera company, along with some of the best talents out there.

In the show, Pretty Yende debuts a new role at the Met with her first Adina opposite Matthew Polenzani, who enthralled Met audiences as Nemorino in 2013 with his ravishing “Una furtiva lagrima.” Bartlett Sher’s production is charming, with deft comedic timing, but also emotionally revealing. Domingo Hindoyan conducts.

Purchase tickets by calling (800) 836-0717 or visit the RRCA box office one hour before the show. Purchase tickets online by visiting mynorthtickets.com. Refreshments are provided by Gordon and Frieda L Wilson. Coffee, generously donated by “Goody’s Juice and Java.”
