Smith & Eddy’s Fortier looking to continue making impact on community

MANISTEE — Smith & Eddy Insurance recently announced its newest agent/account executive is Manistee native Nick Fortier.

Fortier has looked to make a positive impact on the community since he was a student at Manistee Catholic Central.

Opportunities in school have kept him active, such as involvement in his local parish, food pantry, involvement in his nonprofit organization, and being an assistant baseball coach at the high school. He also has coached with the Manistee County Little League and in 2013 founded the Lake Michigan Lakers program.

Fortier, a 2013 graduate of MCC, returned to the community after graduating from Central Michigan University’s business program in December.

He has taken the values that he has learned at MCC and in coaching baseball into the work place.

“At Smith & Eddy we really pride ourselves in being active in our community in many different ways,” he said. “We really value community involvement and really helping out the community in anyway that we can. We are very fortunate for the opportunities that we get at Smith & Eddy.”

Fortier is now looking to make that same impact on his customers as an insurance agent at Smith & Eddy Insurance. For more information, visit www.smith-eddy.com
