MANISTEE — The Manistee High School choir room is being filled with voices in the evening with rehearsals in full swing for the Manistee Civic Players production of “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.”

The cast has been fulfilled and is hard at work.

“I’m extremely excited to present this cast of young beginners and experienced actors,” said director Casey Granada. “They have been working hard to become their best version of Charles M. Schulz’s iconic characters.”

Cast members include the following:

• Starring as Charlie Brown, Dr. Ben Hengy;

• Snoopy will be played by Lillie Schafer;

• Lucy takes the stage by Sandy Saylor;

• Linus is played by Zachary Weber;

• Schroeder takes the stage by David Holmer;

• Patty is played by Colleen Granada;

• Little red headed girl, and chorus will be played by Leah Berean; and

• Stage manager is none other than Michelle Granada.

In keeping with the spirit of encouraging local youth participation in the theatre, recent high school graduate Sarah Sheathelm will be acting as musical director with assistance from Ryan Biller. Piano is being played by Manistee Civic Player veteran Kathy Butler.

“We have the privilege of working with a wonderful music team,” said Granada. “Everyone has been practicing and giving everything they can, to give you an amazing show. We hope you all come and enjoy a night out with your favorite kiddos.”

“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” will take place in the Manistee High School Auditorium on June 28, June 29 and June 30 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday July 1 at 2 p.m.
