West Shore Bank announces new art exhibit at Frankfort

LUDINGTON — West Shore Bank’s Frankfort office is pleased to welcome a new art exhibit titled “Landscapes Echoes” by Margaret A. Miller, which opened on May 25.

Margaret A. Miller, a MFA candidate in printmaking at Eastern Michigan University and a 2015 graduate of Aquinas College, grew up in Saugatuck. She currently lives in Adrian, and her art work has been shown at the Clinton Arts Center, the Oliver Arts Center, the Diocese of Grand Rapids, Healdsburg Center for the Arts in California and currently at the Hotel Frankfort in Frankfort.

Margaret states that, “her lifelong love of art making is only matched by her love of observing the landscape. Her print work focuses on color, abstraction and the dreamlife qualities present in the landscape. Her prints are a combination of monotyping and screen printing, with the image being created color by color, layering multiple shapes and textures.”

In addition to printmaking, Margaret is a ceramicist, hiker and cat lover. After the completion of her Masters in 2019, she plans on teaching and pursing a Ph.D. in Art History.

The Landscapes Echoes exhibit will be displayed through Oct. 10. West Shore Bank invites the public to view Margaret’s exhibit at 501 Main Street, in Frankfort, during normal banking hours. The exhibit is free of charge. For additional information, call (231) 352-9655.
