Run by new Onekama Varsity basketball coach Tracy Bennett and the JV and Varsity players, along with coaching by Gregg Bennett, the camp gave students in kindergarten through sixth grade the opportunity to develop their skills, stay active, and have fun with friends.

The three-day camp utilized both school gyms, with younger students working on ball handling, fundamentals, and group games, and the older students working more advanced skills and plays.

“I always love going to basketball camp, because our coaches make it fun and teach us everything we need to know,” commented Onekama fourth grader Adalyn Zeller.

“We had an excellent turn out this year,” said Bennett. “Based on the respectful and hardworking group of kids who filled our gym this week, who clearly love to play the game, the future of Onekama basketball program looks bright.”
