Then, go next door to one of the oldest nature preserves, Lucia K. Tower Preserve at Portage Point Dunes, to see a stunning dune blowout rising 200 feet above Lake Michigan. The event will be held on Saturday, and is free and family friendly.

The hike is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Lucia K. Tower and Portage Point Woods Preserves. There is a small parking lot located across the street from 9603 Herkelrath Rd., in Onekama. Visitors may park along the side of the road, and meet at the parking lot entrance.

Registration is required, fill out the information online at fs29.formsite.com/7DR5Va/form5/index.html for each person in a party, and click “submit” at the bottom of the page.
