Annual Jingle Bell Jam to be held on Dec. 8

MANISTEE — Strap on your dancing shoes for the 16th Annual Jingle Bell Jam on Dec. 8, at the American Legion Post No. 10 on River Street in Manistee. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the live entertainment starts at 7:30 p.m., right after the Sleighbell Parade.

Five local acts will rock the halls in coordination with the Holiday Hope Team, Fivecap Inc., WMTE, and other helping organizations. All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Toys for Tots and Gifts for Teens program in Manistee County.

Admission to the concert is one new, unwrapped toy or cash donation. All ages are welcome until 9 p.m., then the event is 18 years old and up.

The concert lineup of Manistee County bands includes:

• Cheryl Wolfram — pop hits and cheeseball classics;

• Ted Bounty — roots rock and American soulgrass;

• Sufferin Suckatash — hard driving dance rock;

• Junk Monkey — classic rock and blues; and

• The Rock Supply — classic and modern rock.

Past year’s Jingle Bell Jam events have raised over $1,000 on donations and toys, serving hundreds of families in the area.
