Manistee SEA promotes TalkSooner app for parents, caregivers

MANISTEE — The Manistee Substance, Education, and Awareness (SEA) Coalition is promoting the TalkSooner Campaign. is a free app and website that is for parents. It can be downloaded for free by anyone in the county. They can then have access to up-to-date information on what drugs are, signs to look for, how parents can talk to their children and much more. The application has connections to local events, how to get involved and national resources.

“This is very user friendly and provides a wealth of information, we are very excited to bring this to Manistee County,” said Sarah Garthe, facilitator of the Manistee SEA.

TalkSooner will give parents and caregivers of children and adolescents specific skills that they can have on hand and access at any time to talk with their children about the dangers of use, become aware of their children’s risk factors, and learn about addiction.
