Trinity Lutheran to hold special services during Lent

MANISTEE — Trinity Lutheran Church at 420 Oak Street in Manistee will be holding special mid-week services during the season of Lent until Easter.

The special services are held at 7 p.m. each week. Each of the six weeks of Lent, Pastor Dennis Rahn will be basing his sermon on readings from the Bible from the book of Isaiah 53 under the theme “Our Suffering Servant Jesus.”

The weekly themes will continue March 13, 20,  27,  April 3 and April 10. Themes that will be presented are: Despised, Rejected and Forgiving!; Substituting for Sinners; Suffering in Silence; God’s Justice Reaches an All-Time High; Buried with the Rich; and Abundantly Satisfied.

Each Wednesday Lenten service is proceeded with a soup supper at 6PM provided by various groups in the church. Everyone is welcome to join in on these special services during Lent.
