Burning odor reported at Trinity Lutheran; OK given by authorities

MANISTEE — Reports of a burning odor was made at Trinity Lutheran School on Monday morning. Authorities say the incident was not serious.

Chief Tim Kozal, Manistee Public Safety director, said the Manistee Fire Department and City of Manistee Police responded to the call.

When personnel arrived, an inspection was carried out to ensure public safety.

Kozal said the source of the burning odor was a broken fan motor, which was located near one of the building’s entrances.

The all-clear was given and school was conducted as normal.
