Local Comfort Keepers franchise names new general manager

TRAVERSE CITY — Comfort Keepers® of Northern Lower Michigan recently announced that Robert Scott has been hired as general manager.

SCOTT

Scott will guide the overall operation of Comfort Keepers® of Northern Lower Michigan. His leadership and direction will be crucial for overseeing daily operations, coordinating staff, maintaining high standards for customer service and integrating the major functions of the business to achieve organizational goals.

Scott is no stranger to the service industry. After a four-year stint in the Marine Corps, he worked as a restaurateur, an executive chef at the New Jersey State House and eventually embarked on a managerial career with Sodexo, a multinational food services and facilities management company. Most recently, Scott served for 11 years as the general nanager of Food Service Operation for Northwestern Michigan College.

“Robert’s experience in the service industry is second to none, and the way he cares about the people he serves is incredibly genuine,” said Leslie Knopp, co-owner of Comfort Keepers® of Northern Lower Michigan.

Scott has also continued his involvement with the Marines. He is currently in his fourth year as Commandant of the Yagle Brothers Detachment #165 of the Marine Corps League, located in Interlochen and dedicated to preserving the traditions and spirit of the U.S. Marine Corps.

“Throughout my career, serving others has been my calling,” Scott said. “The setting may change, but the compassion and care that people need remains the same across the industry. There is a huge need for that compassion and care in northern Michigan, especially among our area’s seniors.”

Comfort Keepers® of Northern Lower Michigan provides in-home senior care on an hourly, daily, weekly or live-in basis for individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living.
