Mount Pleasant man behind bars on alleged CSC charges

ISABELLA COUNTY — Michigan State Police arrested a 31-year-old Mount Pleasant man for alleged criminal sexual conduct.

Robert David Foster is suspected of sexually assaulting a 29-year-old Osceola County woman over the course of a year. He is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct against a incapacitated victim.

During the investigation, MSP troopers were able to identify another victim, who provided details of being sexually assaulted by Foster in Isabella County.

Police believe Foster sexually assaulted the woman in Mecosta and Osceola counties throughout the year. He was arraigned on Oct. 22 in Mecosta County’s 77th District Court.

Foster is currently being held at the Mecosta County Jail on $250,000 bond.

If convicted, each charge has a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison. Also, additional charges are being sought in Osceola and Isabella Counties, police said.
