Big Rapids city employee chili cook-off lunch to benefit United Way

BIG RAPIDS — Employees from the City of Big Rapids will host their annual chili cook-off lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, at City Hall in the city chambers.

“The chili cook-off is something we do every year,” said Barb Obert, account clerk for the city treasurer.

There are 12 different chili’s registered so far and the range from mild to spicy, Obert added.

The event is donation only and open to the public. All proceeds go to the United Way Campaign.
