Con Brio Voce to welcome military veteran guest artist

BIG RAPIDS — Con Brio Voce Chamber Brass, under the direction of Kent Boulton, will perform a concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, in the Big Rapids High School auditorium. The concert, sponsored in part by the Festival of the Arts, is free to the public.

Special guest artist and trumpet soloist Sgt. Maj. Woodrow English will be featured in the program. English is retired after serving 34 years as national bugler and soloist for the U.S. Army Band’s “Pershing’s Own” in Washington D.C. and for the prestigious U.S. Army Brass Quintet.
