Man arrested on drug charges in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT — A 23-year-old Mount Pleasant man was arrested on Saturday for possession of marijuana and ecstasy in Mount Pleasant.

At about 10:15 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Mount Pleasant Post conducted a traffic stop on the corner of Fancher and High streets after observing a lane violation. A search of the suspect vehicle revealed marijuana and ecstasy. The driver was arrested at the scene and transported to the Isabella County Jail where he was lodged.

The apprehended suspect will be arraigned later at the 76th District Court in Mount Pleasant.
